Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

By IvyBelieves

PTSD is a serious mental condition that some people develop after experiencing or witnessing a life-threatening event, like combat, a natural disaster, a car accident, sexual assault or abuse. When you have PTSD, the world feels unsafe. You may have upsetting memories, feel on edge, or have trouble sleeping. Anyone can develop PTSD at any age. Although PTSD has medication to help cope with symptoms, people often ignore the long term effects of the mental illness and medication. This medication has the following harmful and negative side effects; Sleep problems, headache and dizziness, shaking and feeling anxious, loss of appetite and vomiting, irritated really easily, worsening depression and harmful thoughts about suicide and or hurting yourself. For women the risk of having a premature baby with complications and birth defects are extremely high.
Sarah is an 18 year old girl from Redlands California, as a child she has gone through many traumatic things along with her mother. Her father as an abusive alcoholic who would get out of control very often. As a child Sarah thought his behavior was normal until she had a sleepover and she realized her life wasn’t okay, she always knew going to bed hearing yelling wasn’t right but she had gotten used to ignoring it. After a while Sarah’s mother moved away with her to the next city, Sarah’s mother grew up without a father so she didn’t want Sarah to go through the same thing she did, Sarah’s mom went out of her way for her dad to be in the picture even though he hurt her. The family moved back together and separated a few times until Sarah’s mother got sick. Her kidneys failed leaving Sarah without a mom at 12 years old. With no where else to go, Sarah moved in with her father who got worse, the beatings continued. Sarah’s life couldn’t get worse until Child Protective Services got involved and took her away, after a couple foster homes Sarah moved in with her moms mother, her grandma, at age 15. As of right now Sarah is 18 years old and is going to college, she has gone through 3 years of therapy, tons of medications, a couple of hospitalizations, and sustained by police at school. She is done with therapy but is still on medication, with the help of her grandma and her significant other she will be back in no time, until then she wants people to remember that there will always be light at the end of the tunnel, even if you don’t see it right now it’s there.

(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ Spider man ♥

1) Tom Holland : Tom Holland is not only the love of my life, but the best Spider Man in the Cinematic Universe. He is young looking unlike Tobey Maguire, and the perfect dork/ nerd unlike Andrew Garfield.
2) Tobey Maguire : Tobey is not only the very first Spider Man but the only Spiderman who has 3 movies! For now... Tobey will always have a place in my heart because I grew up with him. The only reason why he is in second place is because of the way he looked 30 years old in high school.
3) Andrew Garfield : Andrew is at the bottom of my list because of his looks. He is way too hot to be an outcasted nerd. In real life he would have all the girls and be popular. His acting was amazing obviously and he played Spider Man really well.
